You can start out by exclaiming how you have seen your girl, the bride; go through many boyfriends and relations. You are able to say, “She never seemed quite content and fulfilled until she met the groom.” You can relate some stories about the two of you when you first met, whether as elementary school mates from the neighborhood, sharing a room together at college or any other funny situation that can relay the long scope of your comradeship. You can then follow by pronouncing ( if you are not married or in a relationship yourself ) that you hope to sometime be as contented as the bride is today and that you find a wonderful man like the groom to be your husband.
Finding just the right words could be hard, but what will be even harder is making the toast without getting emotional.
