There’s nothing like the great little German girl costume for this coming Halloween, Bavarian culture festivals, or dress-up anytime. They can be adorable, sweet celebrations of the German heritage. And, they could bear brewskis also!
The German girl costume typically comprises of dirndl attire that will typically go hand-in-hand along with the German boy outfit, which is the lederhosen. The dirndl will consist of a fitted bodice, which ends at the waist. A peasant-manner white blouse with a gathered bodice goes underneath a vest bodice.
The skirt is full and gathered, fine for spinning and dancing. This sometimes takes a white petticoat underneath, and even could be long or short in length. There can be a small snowy apron on the waist of the skirt. Then there can be loads of German-Tyrolese types of trim all around.
Sometimes there can be a vest on top or a corset-style with lace-ups below the bodice. This is a truly enticing outfit! And while she’s looking that good, the German girl could be bearing two to three litres of brewski in huge arduous beer mugs, in every hand, the same as they do in the pubs and the oktoberfest in Germany.
Pile up a few chunky, heavy, silvery and pewter jewelry to go with this outfit. Earrings, bracelets, belts and chains will do. And you may want to add a small Tyrolese chapeau or perhaps a scarf around long blonde Heidi braids.
Then add white stockings with the German beer costume. As tights, or some sort of legwear. And even you can wear pretty snowy ankle socks also. Any whiteness.
