Tools For Life – The Drama Concept

Drama leads to aggression and violence

In building Emotional Resilience one of the greatest factors to be aware of is the drama factor of life. Things happen; good bad, right and wrong but the key to living a life of peace and non-violence is to control the amount of drama you put ‘on-line’.

A situation may happen but the difference in being able to express about it, face it and move past it is all to do with the drama we attach to it.

Our minds try to make something big or small with the use of drama. We down play something of significance by suppressing the emotional aspect and we try to get attention, influence and effect with drama.

Mastery is to see life the way it is in reality without any drama knowing that it is the drama that clouds and colours a situation or truth from the reality of what is.

In many cases drama is a mask for aggression and the many forms of violence and violent thoughts. Drama is often used to get pity or support as it attempts to encourage others to pick a sife. When drama does not work the person who is creating the drama generally ends up getting angy or aggressive or controlling.

Look at someone who is angry or aggressive and you can see the drama unfold. In reality it is a lack of solidness, a weakness in an attempt to be strong and tough. Real strength and integrity comes from the ability to hold solid and yet be wise, compassionate, truthful and tactful in your delivery. True strength is the ability to confront a situation without turning it into a drama.

Example, many people create and make up all manner of drama to end a relationship because they don’t have the courage to face it, move on and be able to remain friends.

Many people create drama because they are bored and lack inspiration and self motivation to be creative or breakthrough obstacles.

If you are a person who has communication or expression issues and an avoider of conflict then focus on the drama aspect and you find it much easier to get the flow happening. Drama leads to the flux and highs and lows of emotion and without it we have the ability to express with truth and depth of feeling

Obviously drama has another side in that it can make life very entertaining and colourful but the aim of this article is for you to contemplate where drama is affecting you in an adverse way.

Remove drama from your life and avoid dramatic people and you will soon see how loving, relaxed, patient and peaceful life can be.

Hope this helps
