There are several PUA routines that anyone can use to help achieve successful relationships with women. Let’s discuss a few of them. These techniques are the same ones used by highly successful PUAs to establish their successful dating relationships, but they’re really nothing more than stories developed to make you look great.
Don’t worry – I’m not going to waste time rehashing some old, tired routines like “the cube” and “the jealous girlfriend.” I’m going to go over a few of the newer routines here.
The Present Routine – You can have a lot of fun with this and get a lot of information that you can parlay into other conversation topics.
It’s simple, really. Just approach a group of girls, and tell them that urgent business called your buddy out of town unexpectedly. He’s given you money – say $200, or whatever – to get his girlfriend a birthday present. The problem is, you don’t know what to get her, and so you’re hoping they’ll give you some advice.
The beauty of this approach is that whatever the girls tell you is revealing about themselves. The girl who suggests a day at a spa is a girl who herself loves to be pampered, for instance. The girl who tells you to buy expensive perfumes and accessories, designer name things like Prada and Guess, is a girl who herself also likes those designer-name things. Think about how useful this information can be – especially if you’re patient and work at it, getting the girls to give you advice beyond the obvious. What if a girl tells you to get the girlfriend a book of poetry by a particular author?
Dating for Dummies – A great icebreaker and way to get women to feel real comfortable around you, this has got to be one of the funniest PUA routines I’ve ever run into.
The first step is to go out and get a book on dating – one of the more insipid ones, with a title like “Dating for Dummies” or something really obvious like that.
Carry it with you into a club or anywhere else you’ll meet women. Open it to the section titled “Pickup Lines you Should Never Use.”
This is when you each find out about the other’s sense of humor. Go up to a woman you’d like to get to know better and, holding the book in front of you so she can see the title, start reading some of the bad pickup lines out loud. Don’t be bashful, go for the gusto! The worse the line, the better it is for your purpose – look for “Do you come here often?” and “Hey there, baby, what’s your sign?”
This approach will get you some laughs, unless she’s got absolutely no sense of humor at all, and she’ll let down her guard. And try this – look at her straightforwardly and, in all innocence, ask her “So how’d I do? Did it work?”
These routines have been tried and refined by true pick up artists, and should help you get the ball rolling. Your purpose in meeting here, though, is to establish a rapport that you can use to ask her out or call her. If you want to establish rapport with her, share something personal – maybe a story from your childhood, or an incident from your job. Women respond positively to men who open up to them personally, and you’ll be able to feel the connection building.
There are some PUA routines that basically involve lying about who you are. That’s not my style, and I hope it’s not yours, and so those routines aren’t included here. I’m sure you’ve got friends who are constantly telling stories about things they’ve done, places they’ve been, and the like. You’ve probably done many of the same things and been to loads of different places yourself – so think of incidents in your life and travels that illustrate the sort of great guy you are and take the time to make good stories of them!
As a budding PUA, you should build your own routines based on your own life experiences. There’s no shame in needing a little help. Pick up artists are made, not born. It’s time for you to start making yourself into a PUA by experimenting with the routines discussed here and getting familiar with approaching and talking with new women. At that point, you’ll likely have some good original stories of your own that you can craft into good PUA routines.
