Wedding Invitation Kits: A Guide To Addressing And Stuffing Your Kits

Purchasing wedding invitation kits is probably one of the best decisions you have made for your wedding.  Lovely, budget friendly invitations with the ability to create a magical, one of a kind invite that is uniquely you.  The invitations are done. Now you are ready for the final step in the process. Stuffing and addressing the invitations.

Assembling and stuffing the invitation in the proper order is a very important step in finalizing the invitation and the good news is that it is not that complex. In fact, if you have gotten this far along in the process, the next few steps should be relatively smooth and easy.

  1. Addressing the envelopes.  The first step before stuffing is to address the envelopes. Writing on the outside of the envelope with the invitation inside may cause bleeding through the envelope or indentations to form on the invitations.
  2. Address the outer envelope.  Include your return address, either on the back flap of the envelope or the upper left corner on the front.  Use formal titles such as Mr., Mrs. and Dr.  Once the outer envelope is addressed, then move onto the inner, smaller envelope (assuming you are using an inner envelope).  Write the first names of those invited, for instance, Aunt Carol, Uncle Blane and Family or in the instance where a guest has no partner or is single, then simply write Carol and Guest.
  3. Assemble the insertions.  The insertions typically include the reception card, response (rsvp) card, response envelope, directions, map and anything else you are sending out with the invitation.  One way to assemble these is in order of size.  Place them face up with the largest insert on the bottom. Next, place the insertions on the top of the invitation.  Because wedding invitation kits are usually one sheet, the wording will be exposed. Placing a piece of tissue paper between the invitation and the inserts is a good idea as the wording is exposed and this will cover the wording plus it adds a touch of class and elegance to the invitation.
  4. Stuffing the envelopes. If you are using an inner envelope, place the invitation and the insertions into this envelope with the writing on top facing the flap.  The first thing you want your guests to see is the writing on the front of the invitation, not the back, blank side.  Do not tuck or seal the inner envelope.  Now place the inner envelope, writing towards the flap, into the outer envelope.
  5. Seal the outer envelope. With a dampened sponge, seal and close the outer envelope.  If you are using a seal, then apply it once you have closed and sealed the envelope.  Add stamps and it is ready to be mailed.

Creating your own beautiful invitations with wedding invitation kits is a great, budget friendly option to the traditional invitations.   Assembling your invites properly is the final step and will be the first glimpse into your wedding day most guests will see.  Make it a memorable and special day all will remember.

Wedding Invitation Kits: Budget, Stress Free Elegance

Wedding Invitations can often times end up being a very large part of a  budget for wedding planning – much more so than many bride and groom anticipated in the beginning. But there are definitely choices couples can make when deciding on an invitation for their wedding. Today, more and more couples are nixing the traditional route and going for a more economical, yet viable option. Wedding Invitation Kits.

Wedding Invitation Kits are becoming increasingly popular due to the quality and originality a couple can express through them along with being very budget conscious. Making your own wedding invitations is more time consuming but good planning will result in a beautifully crafted invitation which rivals any you could purchase professionally.

Important things a couple may want to consider when looking for an invitation is necessary vs unnecessary expenses.  First – to save money you need to comparison shop – and that includes wedding invitation kits.  Most supply stores carry them along with local department stores but your best values and best options are usually on-line. With all of the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, time savings can be a lifesaver.  There is really no better timesaver than shopping on-line.  With wedding invitation kits you are able to browse through hundreds of options until you find the perfect kit.

Before even venturing into the world of invitations be sure you have all of the wedding details in place.  For example, the date, time and place should be 100% certain and your room should already be booked.

Ordering the invitations and making them on your own is a great option but if you spend all of that time and effort into preparing the perfect invitation and the time, date or place change, you are left with a bundle of waste if a second set needs to be prepared.  Don’t let that happen to you so make sure you are prepared.

Also, keep in mind that your wedding invitation should express the overall theme of your wedding but it doesn’t have to be “extravagant”.

Sometimes a little substitution goes a long way. Why not opt for a good quality bulk stationery set rather than hand-pressed linen and save money while not sacrificing a lot of value and basically getting the same results. Little things go a long way in reducing stress and expenses.

Printable, do it yourself wedding invitation kits make it easy to create your wedding invitations even if you lack the skills of calligraphy or design. It is not necessary as many come with just about everything you need to create a beautifully crafted invitation. If you aren’t good at calligraphy and would like that special touch, hiring a professional is an option and not that expensive considering the amount you will save on purchasing the kit. If you can operate basic word processing software and have a quality printer, you are well on your way. Overall, planning is key.  Buying a planning “how to” guide is a good option and often times gives you great insight on doing it yourself – from favors to wedding invitations.

Your wedding should be stress free and a day to remember. Wedding invitation kits can be a great way for couples to personalize their special day, reduce their stress and save money at the same time.Money you can use towards better, more fun-filled adventures…..like your honeymoon and the start of your brand new life together.
